I could soar for hours or days
In rapture from your wicked gaze
In starting certainty begin
To fall in love though it's a sin
To want that which we shouldn't touch
Once she loved you-is it too much
That I should be the lucky one?
So many friends by love undone...
But then she did throw you aside
And though she sighed she never cried
So where's the harm, if I love you,
If, better still, you love me too?

it has such a lighthearted tone to it which is odd considering the lines,
