Literature Text

With booming roar and lasered fist
Tendrils of rain reach the ground to kiss
Seeded flowers growing from stone
Disillusioned, the wicked wind moans.

Fire ravages starless skies
Caught between are you and I
The rain beats down a deathly call
Yet I do not feel it fall.

A tired lover, rain recedes
And we're suspended in brief reprieve
Now you're restless and reach for me
But without lightning I cannot see.
This started as a poem about the thunderstorm that woke me up yesterday morning, but somehow turned into a poem about the necessity of passion.
I think I may have made up the word lasered, at least in this context...
